About us

Map & Weave is a husband and wife team based in Carlisle, Cumbria. We make a range of innovative and hand crafted gift items for both men and women. Esther has a degree in textiles from the University of Cumbria focusing on constructed textiles. She uses her skills on a weaving loom and sewing machine to make beautiful scarves, bags, notebooks and other gifts. Esther is inspired by nature and the diverse colours, patterns and textures found within it. Andy creates the map products, using vintage maps and other papers to make unusual gifts for those difficult to buy for people. His map coasters and map shirt cards have proved to be very popular, as they are unusual and no two are ever the same.
